The story of our shawarma is the story of our family.

It all began in January 1998, in the heart of Maracaibo, Venezuela, when A marriage guided by the wisdom and support of our beloved grandfather—set out to introduce the vibrant flavors of Lebanese cuisine to our city. But it wasn’t easy. It took us six months to carefully adapt our traditional recipes to the local Maracucho palate. Every spice, every sauce, every bite had to honor both our Lebanese roots and our Venezuelan identity.

In a small corner near the iconic Plaza Indio Mara, we introduced our Lebanese roots to the Marabinos, one free sample at a time. With dedication, heart, and the unmistakable flavor of home, we slowly expanded the city’s palate and became known as the best shawarma in town—and the go-to place for dinner.—made with beef, chicken, or a flavorful mix of both. Each shawarma was layered with parsley, tomato, hummus, garlic sauce, tahini, a crispy falafel, and your choice of perfectly seasoned meat. But we didn’t stop there.

For 23 unforgettable years, we shared our table with strangers who became loyal customers, and customers who became lifelong friends and family. To this day, we are moved by the love and memories our customers share—many of which you can read in the heartfelt comments on our Instagram reel.

But when our beloved country fell into hardship, we had to make the painful decision to close the doors of that cherished corner that had become part of Maracaibo’s soul. As a family, we left everything behind and started over in Katy, Texas—with nothing but our dreams, our recipes, and each other.

And now, the next chapter begins.

After four years of perseverance, sacrifice, and hard work, we are proud to open a new chapter with our food trailer: Ta-Umm. Today, we bring the same original flavors that once lit up a Venezuelan plaza to the vibrant heart of Texas—ready to create new memories, new friendships, and a new family.

Today, we’ve brought our legacy to Katy, Texas, serving the same unforgettable flavor that made us a household name back home. Every shawarma, every sauce, every detail carries the love, tradition, and passion that started it all.
